European Stone Festival 2025
We are proud to be this year’s host of the European Stone Festival at Halifax Minster. Established in 1997 the European Stone Festival is hosted by a different country each year and was last hosted in the UK by Lincoln in 2013. Visit our dedicated website https://stonecarvingfestival.uk/ for further details of what to expect as up to 120 stone carvers, masons, apprentices and sculptors join us from across Europe for a two-day traditional carving challenge to create fantastic stone carvings around the theme of myths and legends. With live music, entertainment, food, drinks, and free stone carving taster sessions it’s sure to be an exciting weekend for all. Join us for this unique weekend of carving as we collaborate with the European Association of Stone Masons & Sculptors (EASMS) and there is the opportunity to purchase any of the carved stones in our concluding auction on Sunday 25th May 2025.
Halifax Stone Carving Festival 2023
Thank you to all who supported the 2023 Stone Carving Festival. It was a fantastic weekend filled with 40 carvers from across the UK and Europe, excellent live music, entertainers, fantastic food, stone carving demos, Southern Stone Stall, Steven Travis Tools and blacksmithing demos by Rudi Holmes. We would particularly like to thank all those that supported the auction of artwork, Halifax Minster for hosting the event and Marshalls for providing the excellent quality monumental stone.
Celebrating Ann Lister in Halifax Event
